Bossa Nova

Bossa Nova…This Brazilian music style emerged to prominence during the 1950’s and 1960’s. Blossoming from the beachside enclaves of Rio de Janeiro, bossa nova is a mixture of jazz and samba.  Bossa Nova was popularized on the American Jazz scene by such greats as Charlie Byrd, Stan Getz and Sergio Mendes.
