CSUF Jazz Orchestra to perform at Newport Beach Jazz Party (via OC Register)

Cal State Fullerton’s School of Music will be present at the 16th annual Newport Beach Jazz Party.

The university’s Fullerton Jazz Orchestra, directed by professor of music and Grammy Award-winning arranger Bill Cunliffe, will perform at the four-day jazz music festival.

Soul and R&B singer Freda Payne will join the orchestra for the performance, which is set for 2:30 p.m. Feb. 12.

The Newport Beach Jazz Party, held at the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel & Spa, will feature 30 concerts, poolside sessions, reserved seating, jazz brunches and a Valentine’s Day dinner event.
