Jazz legends draw crowds to Poughkeepsie waterfront (via Poughkeepsie Journal)

Bill McCann drove 100 miles south from Schenectady County.

Jerry Boyce, 74, took an early bus north from Brooklyn.

They both gathered at Victor C. Waryas Park in the City of Poughkeepsie Sunday for one reason: the 16th annual Jazz in the Valley concert.

It was what 71-year-old Hakika Boyd of Brooklyn called, “chasing the sound.”

The concert draws hundreds of jazz lovers to the banks of the Hudson River each year. And this year was no different.
