Jazz pianist Joe Tranchina to give free solo concert (via Pike County Courier)

Jazz pianist Joe Vincent Tranchina will perform a free solo concert at the Krause Recital Hall at the Delaware Arts Center, 37 Main St., Narrowsburg, N.Y.

An audience Q&A and reception will follow.

This will be the first jazz concert played on the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance’s recently inaugurated 1913 Mason & Hamlin grand piano.

Voted Hudson Valley 2010 Jazz Musician of the Year in Times Herald-Record’s annual Best Of readers’ poll, Tranchina has been seen in most of the major jazz and club venues throughout New York City and the surrounding area, including Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola (Jazz at Lincoln Center), Birdland, the Oak Room and the Blue Note. He has also performed at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, and has toured abroad in Germany, Switzerland, Greece and Japan.
