Jazz Picks: The 26th Annual Jazz Festival starts up at NCCU (via NewsObserver)

North Carolina Central University hosts the 26th Annual Jazz Festival, which kicks off at Beyu Caffe in Durham on Thursday, April 14, and runs through Thursday, April 21. The week of musical entertainment includes concerts, lectures and workshops by remarkable jazz artists.

Among the highlights this weekend:

Renowned jazz vocalist Mary Stallings accompanies the NCCU Vocal Jazz Ensemble in concert at 8 p.m. Friday in the B.N. Duke Auditorium on campus.
