“Newport area residents can get a 24-hour jump on tickets to Newport Jazz Festival’s opening night concert on Friday featuring Gregory Porter and Chick Corea Trilogy at the International Tennis Hall of Fame at Newport Casino.
Tickets will be on sale online and by phone on Jan. 13 at 10 a.m. and jazz fans who hail from the city will have the lines all to themselves for a full day.
The Newport Festivals Foundation announced Monday that the opportunity will give Newport residents a chance to secure great seats for the concert before it sells out.“
