Seton school to present annual jazz event (via Post Crescent)

Seton Catholic Middle School’s annual JAM (Jazz Appreciation Month) Concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. April 24 at Seton, 312 Nicolet Blvd., Menasha.

For the last time in the current building, Seton’s gymnasium will be transformed into a jazz club with festive lighting, desserts, beverages and entertainment.

The locally renowned Seton Jazz Band will play pieces from several jazz musical eras, with solo performances by many students. This year’s guest artists are the Lighthouse Big Band from Fond du Lac. The group is considered one of the top big jazz bands in the area, and features professionals and teacher performers from the Fox Valley. Everyone who plays in the group is a volunteer, committed to the endeavor out of their love for big band jazz and to preserve the art form in our area.

Admission to the event is free, but donations are accepted. All proceeds will go to support scholarships for Seton students to attend jazz workshops during the summer.
